East RegionThe NWR East Region covers an area ranging from Lincoln in the north to Chelmsford in the south and from Peterborough across to the East Anglian coast. It is divided into six areas each of which contains a number of groups as set out below. If you cannot find a group near you please get in touch as new groups are being formed all the time. |

| Boston | Tuesday | We meet on a Tuesday evening every fortnight. We are a lively group of seventeen members. About eight to twelve at each meeting. This year we are hoping to have additional theatre group outings to support our local theatre. | |
| Brant and Witham | Thursday | We are a rural group, approximately situated at the mid-point between Lincoln and Grantham, and Newark & Sleaford.We meet on the third Thursday of the month and currently have 24 members. We are a friendly group and are celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2009. | |

| Farnsfield | Meetings held fortnightly during term time. We also have a library of books (mostly fiction) for members to borrow and include a variety of social events in our programme. | ||

| Grimsby and Cleethorpes | We meet every fortnight during term time. We are a small group of happy, cheerful people with lively minds. | ||
| Horncastle | Tuesday | We meet on alternate Tuesdays and try to have a mixture of both serious and lighthearted subjects for our discussions. We take turns to "chair" our meetings so everyone is involved. Also not all of our meetings are discussions, some are purely social. | |

| Navenby & District | We are a new group just getting started and welcome enquiries. We meet on a fortnightly basis on the 2nd Tuesday and the 4th Thursday of the month at 8pm. | ||
| Newark | Tuesday | We meet fortnightly on a Tuesday. In addition to discussions, visits to places of interest and speakers, we often organise smaller groups to visit theatres, cinema etc. We are very friendly and there is a strong network of members who keep us informed of any opportunities to join other local groups occasionally. | |
| Oakham | Mon - Thurs on a 2 weekly rotation. | A friendly group of 20 women who meet fortnightly. | |
| Stamford | Approx every 3 weeks | We meet every three weeks, rotating through from Monday to Friday to help members who have regular commitments on a particular day. | Sudbrooke | Meet twice monthly on the 2nd Monday and 4th Thursday. Includes visits and talks. 12 members- would like a few more! Social occasions about 3 - 4 times a year including a Safari supper and barbeque. Supperclub with about 7 couples meets 4 times a year. | ||

| West Bergholt | Thursdays | We meet on alternate Thursdays. We are a friendly group that welcomes new members from West Bergholt or further afield. Our members come mainly from Colchester and West Bergholt. Our programmes are a mix of discussions, talks and the occasional outing. | |
| West Wratting District | Fortnightly | Friendly group with varied meetings discussing some light-hearted topics, some more serious, and occasional social gatherings. We try to avoid domestic, work or childcare issues. Some theatre trips, book discussion meetings, walks and meals. Various quizzes, other activities and annual Christmas party. |

| St Ives | Fortnightly | We are a fun, friendly and welcoming group (currently 16 members) – come and meet us! We meet fortnightly in each other’s homes, at 8 p.m. on a Monday to Thursday rotation. We enjoy discussions (sometimes light-hearted, sometimes serious), plus talks from two or three speakers per year, as well as food and other ‘themed’ evenings. We take part in national activities such as quizzes and the telephone treasure trail, organise outings (e.g. theatre; gardens) and pub rambles, and enjoy a party at Christmas, plus occasional social events involving partners and friends.
