350th Anniversary of the Plague of Eyam - Death - Sacrifice - Rebirth (Eyam, Derbyshire)

Discover how the heroic Eyam villagers contained the plague outbreak of 1665 and how research into descendants of survivors has had an impact on recent studies of genetics.

A speaker in the morning will talk about the Plague of Eyam, its impact and how the villagers dealt with it at the time and scientific developments today.

Activities in the afternoon - choose from one of two guided walks around the historical sites of the village and its surroundings,  visit to Eyam Hall (National Trust) and a visit to Eyam Museum.

Cost: £25 which includes coffee on arrival, a delicious lunch and tea in the afternoon.
