Our Patrons bring new ideas and information to NWR. We hope that their attributes and interests will influence NWR positively and that we will learn from them.
Clare Nasir
Clare Nasir, has dedicated her whole career to environmental science, as a broadcaster, author, producer and communications specialist.
She is a Met Office qualified meteorologist with thirty years of operational experience. She is also a network broadcaster, working for GMTV, BBC, ITN and currently Channel 5 News.
Her documentary work has taken Clare around the world, from CBBC series to her recent collaboration with the United Nations agency IFAD. She is also a regular expert contributor on TV, radio and podcasts.
She is an ambassador for the UK Healthy Air Campaign and Director of Communications Life Sciences company where she produces key content around clean air, agriculture-food technology, championing talent and innovation in the Climate Tech sector.
Clare has five books published on weather and climate. Her most recent one, What Does Rain Smell Like? has been translated into five languages. She is currently writing a sixth on climate change and food production.
