We are a new group who meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month for informal discussions and chat. We are currently meeting in our homes, but there is no obligation to host and we may occasionally decide to meet elsewhere.
Each meeting will have a pre-arranged topic/theme. We ask two members to do research and report their findings for approx. 10 minutes (no one will be timing!) The inclusion of quizzes, music, poetry readings, tastings etc is encouraged. Everyone is then encouraged to ask questions (although no one is expected to know the answers), add their ‘pennyworth’ and generally expand the conversation in any direction they fancy.
Meetings will start at 7.30pm when the host will provide tea/coffee/squash so we can have some social chat. Discussions will start around 8pm and last for approximately 1 hour. We aim to finish 9-9.15pm.
