During the interview Maureen confided that like most others in the early sixties they were without a phone, so when the National Housewives Register, as it was called in those days, was set up, curious journalists were obliged to visit her at home asking what she describes as ‘stupid’ questions.
One of those questions continues to amuse, “Will this lead to the breakup of the home?”
