Leighton Buzzard 2

Now in its second year, Leighton Buzzard 2 is one of the newer groups of the National Women’s Register (NWR). In a short time, we’ve grown into a vibrant, welcoming community of over 30 members, and we’d love to welcome more!

Our group is open to all women who enjoy meeting new people, sharing ideas, and taking part in a range of fun activities. We meet twice a month for lively discussion in a local venue – these meetings are at the heart of what we do. Topics range from light-hearted chats to thought-provoking debates – and there’s no pressure to speak if you’d rather just listen.

Alongside regular meetings, we’ve created a number of sub-groups to cater to different interests, including: two Canasta groups, a walking group, a modern board games group, a ‘Between the Covers’ book group, a traditional book group, and more recently a group who quiz. We have also started meeting monthly for lunch.

Members meet frequently to enjoy a film at the local theatre and we have also shared in events wth another local NWR group. We are exploring plans further afield to the theatre, museums, art galleries, and who knows, maybe even a holiday or two in the future!

Our members have joined for many reasons: some are new to the area, some recently retired, and others are simply looking to try something new, make new friends, and connect with like-minded women.
