Launched in January 2025, Leighton Buzzard 2 is one of the newer groups of the National Women’s Register (NWR). In a short time, we’ve grown into a vibrant, welcoming community of nearly 30 members, and we’d love to welcome more!
Our group is open to all women who enjoy meeting new people, sharing ideas, and taking part in a range of fun activities. We meet twice a month for lively discussion in a local venue – these meetings are at the heart of what we do. Topics range from light-hearted chats to thought-provoking debates – and there’s no pressure to speak if you’d rather just listen.
Alongside regular meetings, we’ve created a number of sub-groups to cater to different interests, including: two Canasta groups, a walking group, a modern board games group, a ‘Between the Covers’ book group, and a popular new crafting group.
We are also exploring plans for trips to the theatre, museums, art galleries, and who knows, maybe even a holiday or two in the future!
Our members have joined for many reasons: some are new to the area, some recently retired, and others are simply looking to try something new, make new friends, and connect with like-minded women.
