Last night, 29 out of our 32 in Wokingham 1 gathered at a local village hall to mark the Christmas Season. We were told to bring the right money (most, but not all did!) a pair of scissors and a pencil… fewer of these, but as an ex teacher, funnily enough I had spares, an eraser and a sharpener with me, so it all went well.
We were placed in teams of 3 at tables with the “before” items, and given about half an hour to produce an arrangement. Fair to say that some were rather more expert than others, but it was a fun activity.
We then voted for the winner, and the team won a small prize. All the arrangements were then raffled, and I was lucky enough to win, which is very unusual, so I now have a festive arrangement to enjoy for as long as I can keep it alive!
Then we had a Christmas themed quiz, including dingbats, questions and photos to identify. 53 our of 60 was the winning score!
We enjoyed a feast of goodies, but I forgot to take photos before, and the after was not particularly appetising….. then we sang a quick round of “We wish you a Merry Christmas” and it was time to clear up and leave before the witching hour!
Merry Christmas to all of you, if you have read this far, you deserve it!
