We have started new group in Hayle and we’re keen to welcome new members!
Our meetings are the perfect opportunity to make more local friends. They always include a light-hearted discussion topic which acts as an ice-breaker and we generally find our discussions go off in all sorts of wonderful directions! There is no obligation to contribute to the discussion if you’d prefer not to, we are a friendly group and understand some people might not fancy that initially.
We also have a fortnightly craft meet-up on a Wednesday afternoon. Everyone is welcome and you are welcome to bring your own craft projects and we will also have cardmaking and jewellery making materials available for people to use. If anyone hasn’t done a craft before we have a number of us who enjoy different crafts and we are more than happy to show you the basics.
Despite being a new group, we already have members who have joined each other in ukulele classes, going to bingo with each other, meeting up for coffee and more.
Meeting schedule
All meetings take place in a central location, usually a pub.
Wednesday 23rd July 7pm: Topic – What’s in a name? What does your forename mean? Do you wish you had been given another name?
Wednesday 13th August 7pm: Topic – Generation gap, are the young happier?
Wednesday 27th August 7pm: Topic – If money was no object, where would you travel to and why?
Wednesday 10th Sept 7pm: Topic – How food has changed in our lifetime, has your relationship with food changed throughout your life?
Wednesday 24th Sept 7pm: Topic – What would you like the human race to be able to do in the future? (serious and not so serious).
