Art & Science with Roberta Faccio

 12 June at 7pm

📌This talk will be recorded but will only be available for a limited period of two weeks after the live talk.

Art and Science — two fields often seen as opposites, yet deeply connected.

We’ll explore paintings bringing together the two worlds for a better understanding of our world. There’s an easy way to investigate about the art-science relationship, which is to look at artworks that represent science, for example portraits of scientists and scenes of experiments. But there’s also a “nerdy” way, actually even more interesting, which is to look at artworks made possible by science, for example mathematics and geometry allowed to discover linear perspective, which made of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper a masterpiece.

Let’s take a closer look at how these two worlds interact.

Roberta is an art lover with a passion (it’s actually an obsession!) in History of Art and Architecture. She
offers talks and tours in London with her organization Art Tours with a Theme and suggests interesting art
experiences on her social media (Instagram @artwit_london, Facebook @artwitlondon).
