Hat Night with a Difference

We held an interesting and enjoyable discussion evening kindly hosted by Isobel. It was a random topic ‘out of a hat’ night where topics or questions were written on pieces of paper, dropped in a hat and drawn randomly for discussion.

There was a wide range of topics including: A positive news story – use of AI that is helping a disabled ballerina to perform live again by allowing her to generate and direct her avatar; Places you would like to visit; Electric Vehicles – the pros and the cons; Should mobile phones be banned in schools?; Your favourite present from Santa; First impressions – are they accurate?; Are you and early bird or an night owl?

We added an extra element of fun to the meeting by actually wearing hat (or fascinator). This came about as one or our members hadn’t been to an NWR Hat Night before and had presumed that one had to wear a hat. So we thought – why not. So we did.
