This talk will be recorded.
Why does it seem like everyone suddenly has ADHD or autism? Are there really more neurodivergent people than ever before, or are we simply getting better at recognising what has always been there?
In this thought-provoking session, Natalie Wilson explores the rise in adult neurodiversity diagnoses and the factors driving it, from increased awareness and reduced stigma to the impact of social media, evolving research, and a greater understanding of how neurodivergence presents in women and underrepresented groups.
As the saying goes, “There aren’t more stars in the sky since the telescope was invented – we can just see them more clearly.” The same may be true of neurodiversity.
Drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience, Natalie will challenge common misconceptions, explore the benefits and challenges of diagnosis, and discuss what this means for individuals, workplaces, and society.
