Ours is a well-established friendly group of ladies living in Ivybridge itself and in the surrounding area.
We meet in each other’s homes every two or three weeks on a different day of the week, usually in the afternoon but occasionally in the evening or in the morning. There are thirteen of us at the moment and our ages range from late sixties to early eighties. We enjoy getting together for discussions, researches and social events. We enjoy a mixed programme of researched and ‘out of the hat’ discussion topics plus the occasional speaker.
In the summer we like to get out and about, visiting gardens, exhibitions and historic houses (last year we visited Nancy Astor’s house on Plymouth Hoe). We also organise a variety of social gatherings such as the Midsummer Walk, the Garden Party, Christmas Party and Post Christmas Dinner.
We never say no to the opportunity to enjoy a cream tea (this is Devon after all)! We also have a book group and we meet once a month just to chat, over coffee.
Our group is a wonderful source of friendship and laughter.
Please do get in touch if you’d like to find out more!
