We’re a friendly and welcoming group of 11 who meet fortnightly on Thursdays, in members’ homes, alternating between 2.30pm and 7.30pm to accommodate visits (to a marvellous renovated church garden and Wisbech community farm in 2023) as well as members not keen to drive out on winter nights.
Everyone contributes ideas to our meetings programme which includes occasional visits and speakers, discussions both light-hearted and serious, crafting sessions, an annual croquet game and pot-luck foodie events including a full-on Christmas party and summer garden fiesta. Most members belong to one of our two book groups which meet once a month – one on Monday afternoons, the other on Tuesday afternoons – one member is in both!
