The Grade II listed mill was built in 1853 by Sir Titus Salt, along with the village to house his workers. The whole area is of architectural and historic interest. The 1853 gallery in Salts Mill houses a permanent exhibition of works by David Hockney.
We will meet at 12 noon in the entrance lobby within Salts Mill, on the ground floor and easily accessible from the car park. Saltaire has a railway station next to the mill, with frequent trains from Leeds City Station.
There is plenty to see both inside and out.
We can choose whether to eat in the cafe or in nearby Roberts Park if warm enough.
