Testimonials

Janice’s class is great. It is so sociable with lots of laughter and my balance has really improved.

I am a relative newbie to Janice’s dance classes on Zoom and I have thoroughly enjoyed them. I have seen my balance improve and feel stronger in my legs. I like her easy to follow instructions and her emphasis on ‘ doing what’s right for yourself’. I also enjoy the music she selects 🙂

I’ve been meaning for some time to write to express my appreciation for Janice’s ‘Move for Life’ exercise classes. I’d been experiencing debilitating stiffness in my hips for nearly a year and visited a range of practitioners in the field (not a doctor – that was next on my list). I decided in late August to try Janice’s classes and I’m pleased to report a considerable improvement! I realise of course that she’s not medically trained, but by focusing her classes on stretching and strengthening, combined with warming up and cooling down, she addresses a lot of issues experienced by older folk and my hips have certainly improved. I can’t necessarily make every live class, so the recordings are appreciated. She appears to be knowledgeable about various forms of exercise/stretching and varies her class each week, which I’m sure is also useful.

“When I retired as a GP, I was looking for something to keep me active. I knew about the benefits of exercise and knew that for me a group activity would work better than trying to motivate myself to do something on my own. Janice’s class attracted me because it was set to music and was flexible enough to suit someone like me ie not at all fit! Janice always makes sure that we know that we can proceed at our own pace and while there is encouragement from being in a group it is supportive rather than competitive. Above all, it is fun – singing along is encouraged but not obligatory! There is no doubt that I have seen an improvement in my own flexibility, strength and fitness since starting the class. There are some exercises that I can’t do for medical reasons and that’s not a problem to Janice or to the other class members, some of whom have limitations of their own. I have made new friends and look forward to every class.”
