NWR The Indus Valley Civilisation 3300-1700 BCE with Ruth Nobbs

The civilization in the Indus Valley some 4000 years ago was thriving at the same time as Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, but comparatively little is known about it. Ruth will talk about its discovery, its cities and the way of life of its inhabitants as well as some of the fascinating artefacts that have been found.

This is the third online talk that Ruth has done for us. It is nearly 45 years since she first joined NWR. She moved around the country, becoming a member of groups in Congleton, Wokingham, Darlington and now Wokingham again. Since retiring, she has given talks to various groups on a wide variety of subjects. Although emphasising that she is not an expert on any subject, she always enjoys researching something new and then sharing her findings with others.
