Pride of Yorkshire trail

To celebrate 150 years of Sheffield Children’s, Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity has positioned 150 lions and lionesses around South Yorkshire and put together a trail for all to enjoy. The life-sized models have been created by artists from South Yorkshire and beyond and all have been sponsored by a business. In addition 150 adorable cubs have been created by schools and community groups. Sheffield Children’s Hospital are aiming to raise £2.8million towards transforming the Emergency Department.

It would be ambitious to think we could find all 150 lions spread out across Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster so on Thursday July 30th some of our members are going to meet up and follow the trail to find a few of the lions around the Sheffield city centre, learning a little about their creators and what inspired them.

In October the lions, lionesses and cubs will be auctioned off and previous campaigns have proved really popular.
