Come along to our March meeting where we will be talking about the English Language – New words in the Oxford English Dictionary – do we use them, what do they mean, where do they originate, how has FaceBook, Instagram etc influenced the choice of language today, what expressions/words do you use today that you wouldn’t have heard of years ago, is our language evolving in a good way?
The meeting starts at 7.30pm. As always, there will always be plenty of time for chat before and after the discussion topic (and sometimes during!) and you are not obliged to say anything if you don’t want to, you’re welcome to come along and listen.
If it is your first time, you’ll be very welcome! It is a new group and we are all still getting to know one another. You’ll be able to identify us as I’ll have the blue and pink NWR fliers out on the table.
