A new group has started up in Epworth.

NWR meetings are the perfect opportunity to make more local friends. Our meetings will be taking place monthly on a weekday morning and will always include a light-hearted discussion topic, which acts as an ice-breaker and we generally find our discussions go off in all sorts of wonderful directions! There is no obligation to contribute to the discussion.  We are a supportive and friendly group and understand some people might not fancy that initially.

Our meetings take place on a Thursday morning at 10am on the following dates:

9 April – The power of smell.

17 May – Epworth walk with Bob Fish.
11 June – Childhood memories. What are your earliest memories? What did you want to be as a child and how did that work out?
9 July – The Ripple effect. NWR National theme for 2026. Lots of different interpretations please!
13 August – Angus Townley will talk to us about the history of the Isle
10 September Iceland. NWR National Country theme for 2026. History, geology, food, legends – and maybe a quiz

8 October – Your favourite book or poem.

?? November – Telephone Treasure Trail

?? December – Christmas meal/social evening.

We meet in a central location with kitchen facilities.

In addition to meeting for light-hearted discussions we also meet for coffee socials and walks.

Please do contact us using the contact button above if you’d like to come along for a free trial session, or simply want to find out more.

Membership of NWR gives you access to local group meetings, national online meetings, talks, exercise classes, virtual book clubs and Facebook groups.
