We are a relatively small group (currently 11 members) in this Cheshire village which is close to the World Heritage site of Jodrell Bank radio telescope.
We meet in the evenings of the second and fourth Wednesdays each month in each others’ homes and enjoy stimulating discussions, quizzes, and book reviews. Some meetings might require a bit of research but there is no pressure on anyone to do more than they are comfortable with, and others are more lighthearted. All meetings include biscuits, tea and coffee (occasionally something stronger!)
Typical discussion topics might be: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Research a famous dressmaker, women of courage or the impact of social media on our lives.
We also arrange walks, theatre visits and meals out.
The programme is arranged twice a year at our planning meetings where we all put forward challenging and fun ideas and vote for our favourites.
New members will always be sure of a warm welcome.
