Market Drayton is an ancient Market Town which sits on the border of 3 counties: Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire. Members are drawn from the town and surrounding villages of Norton in Hales, Loggerheads, Ashley, Mucklestone and Croxton so that lifts to meetings are usually shared.
We are a well-established friendly group who meet every Monday except Bank Holidays. Most meetings take place in members homes or a local community room. We often meet via Zoom, especially in winter months or where the topic lends itself to this format. We vary meeting times between afternoons starting 2pm and evenings starting 7.30pm (see our group Calendars for details).
We have a very varied programme and enjoy discussing serious and light hearted topics. We also have a thriving book group that meets once a month on a Wednesday afternoon, and a monthly quilt group. We sometimes meet for coffee, a walk and other social events and occasionally get together with other local groups for shared meetings or outings.
