We are a friendly, sociable group aged mostly in our 60s and 70s who enjoy meeting for informal discussions on a variety of topics – both light hearted and meatier topics.
Our meetings take place twice a month in our homes (but there is no obligation to host) on a Monday evening.
Examples of topics that we have discussed are:
– how we access the news and whether this has changed due to new technology
– AI -boon or menace?
– Working in later life; what would we do if we had to go back to work
– “Sliding doors” moments in our lives
– Changes in shopping and shops/markets.
In addition to our discussion meetings we also meet for coffee in the afternoon in a local garden centre.
We also enjoy theatre visits. In the summer we often arrange an evening stroll, book group session and our BBQ where partners are also invited which is always good fun. We also have a Christmas social meet up.
We are always welcoming to new members. If you’d like to find out more, do get in touch with us using the contact button above.
