We are a long established group who enjoy interesting activities and discussions and the friendship that has formed through being part of the group.
Recent topics for discussion include the Cottonopolis, the origins of Shrove Tues, good/bad habits and what that means, childhood memories of living in the area, your favourite painting and why.
As well as meeting for discussions, we also enjoy regular walks together, an annual garden party, Christmas celebration and Christmas lunch.
We meet in each other’s homes (but there is no obligation to host) on the second Wednesday of each month during the day.
We have a monthly book group with borrowing scheme from local libraries which you’d be welcome to join.
