We are a lively and friendly group of 12 with a varied and interesting programme of talks, discussions, arts and crafts, quizzes and outings. The group was formed over 40 years ago and is a mixture of longstanding and newer members.
We meet every two weeks on Tuesdays in each other’s homes, which cover quite a wide area from Padiham in the north to Unsworth, south of Bury. This means we often prefer to meet in the daytime especially in winter, but still have lots of evening meetings starting at 7.30.
We have a good variety of topics and outings coming up in 2024. Something to suit everyone! Examples of the types of things we cover in our meetings are a discussion about home remedies, a theatre visit, festivals in other cultures celebrated in the UK, a wild life walk and a lunch out.
