We are a friendly group aged in our 60s to 80s who meet for informal discussions and who are always welcoming to new members. Our meetings take place monthly in our houses (but there is no obligation to host) usually on a Thursday evening, but sometimes in our gardens in the afternoon in the summer months. We also meet in a local coffee shop on a weekday morning.
Recent topics of discussion include:
A night at the theatre – watching a ballet in the comfort of a member’s house
Courageous or Foolhardy? Debating examples of ‘dangerous’ pursuits
Researching the flora, fauna and folklore of Caribbean islands
Dutch afternoon tea with a short talk on The Netherlands
A film night at a member’s house – eg. ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ in connection with the Dutch theme last year.
