We are a group of women, ages ranging from mid 60s to early 80s (but all ages welcome – we’d love to encourage younger members!!)
We think of ourselves as warm and welcoming, some of us have been members for many years, others are newer. As our lives have changed from being busy workers, wives and mothers to a more gentle retirement, we find that NWR serves our needs for like-minded company just as well as it did in our younger days.
We have a varied programme, including debates, discussions, investigative topics, speakers, outings, meals out, and country walks. Our latest outing was to walk 9 miles along the Regents Park canal in London, having lunch at Camden Town lock en-route, and everyone managed it with aplomb. Age is but a number!
We meet twice a month on variable days, in each others’ homes, and the meetings are generally held at 8.00 pm. Everyone takes a turn at leading a six month programme, assisted by another.
Do get in touch if you’d like to find out more!
