Members of the Buckhurst Hill and Woodford( Eve) group were fortunate to attend an event at the Romanian Embassy just before the big celebrations of Romanian independence day.
The event was an exhibition of 355 years of Romanian realities in the British press.
It was interesting to read about the articles all those years ago and compared with what was happening elsewhere in the world.
We met the lovely Romanian Ambassador and were then treated to refreshments.
We learned that our royal family has connections with Romania. A very interesting cultural event.
