A select group of our members embarked upon an evening walk around The BTO’s Nunnery Lakes Reserve in Thetford on Wednesday. We had to walk a little more quickly than we intended, as the start was delayed by a humdinger of a thunderstorm during which we took shelter in The Nunnery building. Dramatic! When the sun came out afterwards, all was fresh and lovely, but very soggy. Hence the damp shoes and trousers when we sat down later on to enjoy a very nice meal at The Dolphin Inn. Ah – the British summer……
