The Caribbean (National topic). We discussed the various countries that make up the Caribbean and refreshed ourselves with Pina Colas and goat curry with rice and peas.
Courage – We discussed the various types of courage – Emotional, Intellectual, Moral, Physical, Social and Spiritual.
What’s in your Attic? – Well, what’s in your loft, garage or the back of a cupboard that is unusual, old or has special memories? We has some fascinating items with interesting back-stories.
We had a very interesting discussion aboutSensitivity Editing in the modern world. How much should we change historical works to suit current thinking? From Ladybird books with drawings of ash trays made by children (complete with lit cigarettes!), to warnings about language used in old comedies – it was very thought-provoking.
