Buckhurst Hill and Woodford (Eve) group went to Tate Britain to see the exhibition ‘Now you see us’.
It looks at 100 women artists over 400 years and, although talented, had to fight and fight hard to be recognised in a male dominated art world that did not encourage or approve of women as artists.
The paintings were impressive and showed a different image to male painters. A great visit.
