Soon after retiring from Local Government in 2022 and relocating from the Northwest to South Oxfordshire I was fortunate to meet Mary at a golf club social event. We got talking and Mary mentioned NWR, which I’d never heard about. She invited me along and I joined in on an outing to RHS Wisley. This was the beginning of a new dimension to my life! I can hardly believe I have found such a great bunch of people to socialise with and enjoy so many varied and interesting topics. Hardly a week goes by when I am not finding something to look forward to with NWR – walks, outings, book group, debates, games evenings, quizzes, crafts, presentations, culinary events and discussions. This is the reason we are members of such a great organisation!
