NWR Gift Membership
Give the gift of friendship!
The National Women’s Register is a women’s membership organisation and registered charity and has been connecting women since 1960. In moments of uncertainty and isolation, we have played an important role in creating and maintaining social connections with other women.
Our aim is to provide mental stimulation through conversation, friendship and fun in an informal and relaxed style.
Annual membership to NWR gives the gift recipient free access to:
- A wide variety of regular online talks and events, including weekly fitness classes
- A library of recorded talks and events to watch on demand
- Regular email communications including newsletters and digital magazines with member content and articles
- Official NWR Facebook groups for members only, offering connection, chat and deeper discussion with other members from across the UK and beyond
- Online Book Group and Postal Book Group
- National and regional in person and online conferences and events (some of these may have an additional charge).
In the first instance, the gift recipient will be an Independent Member, which gives immediate access to all of the above.
If they would like to explore being part of one of our local groups, we will:
- Identify their nearest group
- Arrange an informal chat with the local organiser
- Invite the new member to a group meeting
- Transfer their membership to local group membership.
Our local groups provide opportunities to meet up regularly in person, each creating their own programmes of events and activities to ensure members get to talk about what interests them, balancing serious subjects with those that are lighter. Many of our local groups have sub-groups – book, theatre, gardening, walking, coffee mornings, etc.
How do I purchase a Gift Membership?
- Click the link below to take you to our ticket booking site.
- Follow the instructions on the screen, completing your details as purchaser and your payment details where indicated.
- You will receive an email confirmation with a voucher code (please check junk/spam email folders).
- You can email this to the gift recipient to notify them of your gift to them. Please note, we are currently unable to notify the gift recipient on your behalf.
- The gift recipient can redeem their gift membership by following the instructions on the email confirmation.
- The gift recipient will be required to complete a Membership Application form so that we can create a membership record for them. This will automatically generate a user name and password to give member access to our website and will be required to book our free online talks and events and to access our digital communications. Please note, an email address is required for this function to be enabled.
- A link to the Membership Application form can be found on the confirmation email and the completed form can be emailed to [email protected] or returned by post to NWR, Unit 31 Park Farm Industrial Estate, Ermine Street, Buntingford, Herts SG9 9AZ.
- On receipt of the completed form, one of our friendly staff team will contact the gift recipient to welcome them to NWR and confirm their membership and renewal date.
