Welcome to our new Southwater group page if you have just joined NWR or are thinking about it!
NWR is a national organisation and you can discuss your interest with out commitment by clicking the Contact button on this page. Someone from National will call you for a friendly chat!
Southwater group was newly established in January 2025. We encourage members to develop an interesting programme and to be very much involved in that process.
Our meetings will be led by Liz and Elisabeth and will be taking place in a quiet pub or cafe in a central location.
See our new programme of events for 2026.

NWR meetings are the perfect opportunity to make more friends. Our meetings always include a light-hearted discussion topic, which acts as an ice-breaker and we generally find our discussions go off in all sorts of wonderful directions! There is no obligation to contribute to the discussion if you’d prefer not to. We are a supportive and friendly group and understand some people might prefer to listen.
See Downloads at the bottom of the page for a selection of Discussion topics and other possible meeting options and ideas to consider! Also see an ABC of the National Women’s Register Activities around the UK.

Southwater has grown and changed over the years into a very attractive place with a strong connection to dinosaurs!
Southwater Country Park sits on the outer edge of the Downslink link which passes through the village.
