Navenby NWR is a small group situated just a few miles from the city of Lincoln, meeting twice a month, and pleased to report that we have warmly welcomed new members in the last few months.
We enjoy excursions to the theatre and to restaurants and a group of 10 members celebrated our 15th anniversary this week (see photo) with lunch at the local pub in central Navenby. Our chair, Elizabeth Carless, brought the original list of members and this brought back fond memories for some.
In September a group also visited the much-publicised Longest Yarn exhibition in Southwell Minster, a knitted and crocheted, 80 metre long 3D depiction of WW2 on 6th June 1944 in wool art (see photo). Such an amazing display made by volunteers and first shown in France and now on tour in England. (https://www.thelongestyarn.com)
We are very much looking forward to the Telephone Treasure Trail in November and are making plans for our Christmas celebration.
Sending best wishes to all NWR groups around the country from Navenby in Lincolnshire.
