Crieff & Area NWR has got its new season off to a lively start.
We began in September with our annual Planning Meeting, when members got together to put together a varied programme for the year ahead. With talks, discussions, books, walks, lunches and outings in the pipeline, there should be plenty to keep us busy.
Our first regular meeting, Topics in a Bag, certainly got us talking. Members picked topics at random and the conversation ranged far and wide – from a row over a dog ban at a Hebridean community café and the everyday items denied to people in Gaza, to £600 toothbrushes, what every child should know before leaving school, and the social conventions we’d happily do away with. We were all talked out by the time tea and cakes arrived!
Variety is very much what Crieff & Area NWR is about. We’re a friendly group of women who enjoy interesting conversation, learning something new and, just as importantly, each other’s company. Our meetings might involve a lively discussion, a guest speaker, a book, a quiz or something completely different, alongside more informal social get-togethers.
Crieff & Area NWR meets regularly from September to June and we’re always delighted to welcome new members.
