Our February visit will be to Winchester to see the city’s water mill on the River Itchen. Restored by the National Trust it is probably the UK’s oldest working watermill. It is also the official Gateway to the south Downs National Park. See the website for more information: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/hampshire/winchester-city-mill We will also visit Winchester City Museum which has displays about Jane Austen – who is buried in the Cathedral – and Alfred the Great amongst others; more information on the museum website https://www.hampshireculture.org.uk/winchester-city-museum
