We are a friendly, mainly in our 70s, who meet regularly for informal discussions and chats about a variety of topics. We meet approx every 3 weeks and have a mixture of daytime and evening meetings, sometimes in members houses and sometimes in local cafes. There is never an obligation to host. We always like to hear from new people and are very welcoming to new members. We love to have fun!
We sometimes go out for meals and arrange a variety of day trips and visits. Upcoming events include:
14th July Wrest Park 12pm with picnic.
31st July Darwins House 10.30 am, followed by lunch.
8th August Mersea Island 10.30am, followed by fish and chips.
5th September (weather permitting) – a member of our group will be doing a Wingwalk for charity. Members can watch her do the flight at the airfield Biggleswade.
12 September boat trip Regents canal. From Kings place Camden to Little Venice return trip 6hours. Same itinerary as River Stort, with Skipper. You can help with the steering and locks, followed by food.
We usually have a summer party in one of our gardens, and have a special Christmas evening dinner which we save up for throughout the year.
