We are a small group of lively-minded retired women who meet in each others’ houses at 10.00 on the first Wednesday of each month. (It is not mandatory to host meetings). Our monthly programme of discussion and researched topics includes a mix of light hearted and more serious or thought provoking subjects.
Examples of the topics of discussion we might have are:
– Hats and hairstyles
– The future of commercial and passenger transport
– Notable women in the arts
– The UK North/South divide past and present (apolitical)
In addition to our monthly meetings we have some social activities, such as theatre visits and visits to gardens.
There are also opportunities to participate in the wider NWR activities, such as on-line talks, Facebook group, and conferences (see information in the main part of the web site).
