We are a lively group of women, mostly in our 60s and 70s, who like to meet discussions on a variety of topics. We also have sub groups who go on walks and visit exhibitions. Every three months we meet at our local pub for drinks and cocktails.
Our monthly discussion meetings are on a Wednesday evening and usually take place in someone’s house, but there is no obligation to host.
Recent topics were a wine tasting evening, discussions on International women’s day and women who have made a difference; Hat debate (very popular); we celebrated Chinese New Year and went to a Chinese Restaurant.
We are a diverse group and a Diwali social is held at one of the house of one member where we are told about the religion, and the festival. We have Indian food and music and dress up in Indian clothes if we so choose. For our Christmas Party we all bring food and play games. Last year we celebrated at the same time Festival of Lights and celebrated Hanukkah.
We also had a discussion on Artificial Intelligence and how we can live with it.
We end the season with a Garden party where partners are invited. Its also an occasion to bring friends who can find out about the group.
New members are made to feel welcome. If you’d like to find out more or come to one of our meetings, please get in touch using the button at the top of this page.
