We are a group of 22 friendly, mostly retired, women who meet on average a couple of times a month on various weekday evenings at each others’ houses.
Our meetings are very varied, some light-hearted, some less so; our programme can include investigations of various topics, from current affairs to women in art, literature or science to what we eat for breakfast or acting a whodunnit. Meetings where a speaker is invited to talk are always well attended. We enjoy social events as well, a walk, a meal, a theatre trip, our Christmas party involves food, drink and often a craft session (more successful for some of us than others!).
We have an active Book Group which meets 6 times a year, a Supper Club for members and their partners, but this does not exclude single members, and a monthly daytime outing that we call NWR + which could be a visit to a museum, garden, concert or to hear a speaker for example.
Why not come along and give us a try. You would be made very welcome. It’s a great way to meet new people and have a lot of fun.

Friday 12th January – Joint Meal – All Poynton 3 members with partners / Supper Club
This meal will take place at the Jolly Sailor Pub, 218 Bramhall Lane, Davenport SK3 8TE @ 7.30pm
Vicki will be in touch with details of menu and cost. A £10 deposit will be required for each person by Sunday 3rd December and can be given to Vicki or Maureen.

‘King’ might be a Christian name; Surname; Title; Animal; Vegetable or Mineral!
The choice is yours but please can you let Frances know what you might be talking about so there are no duplications.
Monday 19th February – NWR Theme – The Caribbean
13 countries, 92,541 square miles; 7000 islands – lots to find out and tasting will be involved.
If you have been there bring your reminiscences with you.
Please wear your most colourful tops.

Talk ‘Happiness and working Mums. Can women really have it all?’
Margaret’s daughter will speak about her book, which will certainly stimulate discussion.
