We are a friendly well-established group, formed over 40 years ago. Currently we have 20 members.

Normally we meet fortnightly, rotating the day so that those with fixed commitments have an opportunity to participate. We have a blend of afternoon and evening in-person meetings and occasional Zoom meetings for outside speakers. We have a varied programme and enjoy discussing both the serious and lighthearted.

Theatre and cinema trips, visits to gardens and places of local historical interest are always part of our programme, as well as bi-annual social events and a regular walking programme designed to cater for all fitness levels.

As our group is currently at maximum numbers, we have  started  a new NWR group in West Sheffield in March 2025.
