Never has NWR been as important to us as it has been during the lonely periods of past and possibly future lockdowns. When we couldn’t meet, we used Zoom to stay safe and sane, to keep in touch with our friends and to discuss important issues to challenge our brains. But the need for human interaction is NOW, and it’s stronger than ever.
To keep us and our families safe we expect our members to be vaccinated or LFT’d in accordance with the rules so, suitable venues permitting, we’re gradually re-introducing face to face meetings.
By 2022 we hope to offer a more normal programme – including discussion groups held fortnightly on Tuesday evenings, in members’ homes and/or gardens with all the necessary precautions in place.
We meet twice a year to plan our future discussion topics but this is not all we do. We also enjoy getting together for quizzes, our new book club, Cuppa and Chat (C&C) friendship afternoons and bus outings as and when we have an excuse.
We’re planning to be a more sociable group in 2022.
New members are most welcome to join us from the surrounding areas including Bramber, Upper Beeding, Ashurst and Partridge Green.
We look forward to meeting you.
