After a very enjoyable Walk and Talk along the River Thames at Sonning a couple of weeks ago, organised by the Woodley Group, some of the Earley Group continued to make good use of our proximity to the river. Last week we had a lovely boat trip on the Edwardian launch above from Henley to Temple Island. The weather was perfect, we avoided the rain, and we took in the lovely countryside with the backdrop of the Chiltern Hills. We followed this by lunch at the Chocolate Cafe. A very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours “messing about on the river”.
