As we were unable to celebrate the Diamond birthday lunch last year in September, which was our plan, we decided to do it this September.
We were fortunate to have a “posh” barn on one of our local organiser’s farm. Again the weather was pleasant but the barn was more suitable for late September. 33 members attended and we had a superb fork buffet prepared by a local caterer in Beccles.
Rene Kathuria who owns Olivers and J Jewellery in Beccles, gave us a talk on Diamonds which was excellent and we all gained more knowledge on the different types of diamonds as well as how they are mined and prepared for jewellery. This was followed by lunch and a quiz on Diamonds.
