A fun, early festive afternoon making Christmas Door Wreaths. Marion our host had sourced lots of Ivy to make and decorate the wreaths along with a huge selection of assorted baubles, bows, shiny ribbons, pine cones – you name it, she had it! Here is some members hard at work forming the base rings.
Members brought along their ironing boards (yes, they really did) to hold the wreaths whilst they decorated them – glue guns at the ready. It was much harder than it looked but Marion ( who is quite an expert) makes Christmas wreaths to sell to raise funds for a local hospice guided and supported the crafters throughout the afternoon.

Some members came to just to watch or help in other ways like helping to clear up afterwards.
On a wintry afternoon the afternoon not only got everyone in the Christmas spirit but a donation of £82 was made to boost the Hospice funds AND we gained a new member – definitely a win-win! Well done everyone.
