Today following a leisurely pot-luck lunch we walked part of the Meanwood Valley Trail: the bluebell woodland along Woodhouse Ridge took us to a recently completed tree sculpture. Designed and executed by Otley artist Shane Green in celebration Claudio Stahl, a caring and well-loved Leeds musician who died in 2021, the carving reflects Claudio’s diverse creative interest in the arts, and includes a portrait of his cat. A stunning work in a beautiful setting – a place that Claudio loved.
