Members of Crookes, Sheffield group birdwatching in a hide at Old Moor RSPB nature reserve on Halloween, we saw thirty two different bird species, including golden plovers!! The reserve was opened in 2003 on the site of the Manvers Colliery, which when demolished created the most polluted area in Europe. It is now an area of specific interest and well worth a visit.
