Finally, only one year later than originally planned, 10 of us managed to visit the Physic Garden in Chelsea last week to learn about medicinal plants. Our guide gave us some fascinating insights into the history of this ancient apothecaries’ garden. Plants have been cultivated not only for medicinal use but for a wide range of surprising applications. We were extremely lucky with the weather and had a really enjoyable visit, finished off perfectly by a wonderful meal before heading home to Edenbridge.
