Scottish Kings

Peterborough NWR members enjoying coffee and biscuits

A small number of Peterborough NWR members met up on Tuesday 19 August for what turned out to be a stimulating discussion about ‘Scottish Kings’. It wasn’t a subject that we knew much about until we had the chance to do some research and learn from each other.

We discovered that Macbeth was a good king, some of Robert the Bruce’s family were incarcerated in a cage for years and what was the seat of power in the 800’s now only has a population of 160.

Although our numbers were a little diminished, as can often be the case during the summer months. It was an interesting discussion and everyone came away knowing a little more about the subject, having enjoyed a couple of hours of conversation and coffee.
We have an agreement that meetings will go ahead as long as there’s a minimum of 3 people attending. Life can sometimes get in the way and we want membership of our group to be a pleasure not a chore.
