6 of us visited the Yardworks urban art programme that is depicted on the huge pillars under Glasgow’s Kingston Bridge – a 10 lane road bridge which carries the M8 over the River Clyde and through the city.
Local people were involved with choosing between the 160 artists from countries such as Spain, Portugal, Brazil and of course Scotland. The resulting artworks have turned a virtual “no-man/s land” into a much more vibrant area close to the river Clyde.

On such a hot day ( yes, it was 28 degrees in Glasgow) we took a fairly short route over the Squiggly (aka as the Tradeston Pedestrian Bridge) and returned over the Squinty Bridge (aka The Clyde Arc). We stopped for a much needed coffee in between in a cafe with AC which was greatly appreciated.
